Paramount Arts Center
The Paramount Arts Center was constructed in the 1930’s as the Paramount Theater. Paramount Pictures created a model theater for the 1932 Chicago World’s Fair with the plan to construct one replica theater in each of the 48 states. As it turned out, only three such structures were ever completed. Ashland’s Paramount is the only one that survives today. The old Paramount has been restored and repurposed. It now provides a wide range of entertainment and cultural programs for the Tri-State area.
