Nov 2 – Dec 31 - Holiday at the Highlands: A Victorian Christmas at the Highlands Museum in Ashland.
Nov 7 – Russell Civic League will hold a hot dog sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of Rail City Hardware in downtown Russell.
Nov 8 – The Highlands Museum, in Ashland, will host “Every Child is an Artist” on Nov 8 and 15 from 12:45 - 2:15 p.m. The program provides a preschool art experience for child and caregiver, including story and playtime. Walk-ins will be charged $10 per session. For additional information, call 606-329-8888.
Nov 9 – The Ashland Senior Center will have Thanksgiving Family Friend Feast. Dinner, which will be served from 5-7 p.m. at the Center (located at 324 15th Street, Ashland, KY) will include turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, cranberry relish, homemade rolls and homemade desserts. All food will be prepared at the center by the staff. Tickets are $5 per person and are available from board members and employees of the center. For further information, call 606-324-7323. Carryout orders will be available.
Nov 9 – Flatwoods Senior Center will have a dance from 7-9 p.m., with music by Ron Slone. Refreshments will be served. There will be an admission charge. For more information, call 494-2362.
Nov 10-11 - “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” at Park Place.
Nov 11 – A marker will be dedicated in honor of veterans at the Russell Depot, in Russell, KY at 11 a.m. The planned Veteran’s Memorial Walk will be made up of bricks, which have been inscribed with veteran’s names. Applications for the bricks can be obtained from the Russell Civic League, following the ceremony and from various league members thereafter; or at either the Price-Smith Insurance Agency or the Russell City Building, both in downtown Russell. The cost will be $35 per brick, which includes up to 3 lines (up to 13 characters per line) of inscription.
Nov 11 & 12 – A Fastpitch Softball Clinic will be held at KC Diamond (behind KFC/Taco Bell on U.S. Rt. 60) for ages 8 and up. The sessions will be held from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and from 1-4 p.m. The fee will be $30 per session. For more information, call 928-0903
Nov 12, 19 & 26 – Ballroom dance lessons will be offered to beginners and those needing a review at 7:15 p.m. on Sundays at 617 Ninth Ave, Huntington, WV. The Cha-Cha will be the dance style taught in November. No partner is required. Dress is casual but shoes suitable for dancing are urged. The cost is $5 per person at the door. Nov 18 – Campbell Chapel Freewill Baptist Church will have its annual bake and craft sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, off Ohio 52 on Ohio 141 in Ironton, Ohio. There will be a large assortment of homemade baked goods for Thanksgiving and holiday crafts. For more information, call 740-532-4822.
Nov 18 – 26 - The annual “Festival of Trees” is being held at the Paramount Arts Center . This year's event will showcase a public display of more than 100 community & professional designed holiday trees as well as elaborate gingerbread houses, wreaths and centerpieces. There will also be live entertainment, a model train and a gift shop. Selected by the Kentucky Tourism Council as one of the Commonwealth's Winter/Holiday "Top Ten" events, you don't want to miss this festival!

Nov 25 – The Billy Ray Cyrus Foundation Christmas benefit dinner dance, “Rockin’ ‘Round the Christmas Tree”, will be held at the Bellefonte Country Club from 7 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. Music will be provided by Stephen Salyers, Ron Hardeman, ETA and Jessica Baldridge. There will be a silent auction preceding the 7 p.m. dinner. Tickets are $50 a person and can be purchased from board members or the Ashland Tourism Commission office.
